Single-family homes were comparable from 2014 <br /> into 2015. <br /> • In the matter of Brian Bielozer, et. al. vs. The City of North Olmsted, the city filed <br /> its brief of appellee with the court on October 26, 2015. There is a reply brief due <br /> on November 12, 2015, and an oral argument can be expected early next year in <br /> Cincinnati in front of the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. <br /> • He and Assistant Law Director O'Malley will be attending a labor law and labor <br /> arbitration conference on Friday,November 6, 2015. <br /> Director of Finance Copfer: <br /> • No report. <br /> Councilman Barker, Chairman of the Public Safety, Health& Welfare Committee: <br /> The Public Safety Committee met Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 7:20 p.m. Present were <br /> committee members Barker and Williamson; Council President Jones; Council member <br /> Kearney; Mayor Kennedy and Finance Director Copfer. <br /> • Discussed was Resolution 2015-97 which is a Resolution authorizing the Mayor <br /> to enter into a contract with the Cuyahoga County General Health District for the <br /> year 2016, and declaring an emergency. This is an annual renewal with the <br /> County with no increase in cost. The cost is $3.97 per person with a total cost of <br /> $128,255.00 for the year which is paid semi-annually. This is the same rate as the <br /> years 2014 and 2015. There was some discussion about the many services <br /> provided by the County. Councilman Barker made a motion to recommend <br /> approval of Resolution 2015-97. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman <br /> Williamson, and the committee voted 2-0 to recommend approval of Resolution <br /> 2015-97. The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m. <br /> Councilman Kearney, Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br /> The Finance Committee met Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Present were <br /> committee members Kearney, Schumann and Barker; Council President Jones; Council <br /> members Limpert and Williamson; Mayor Kennedy, Finance Director Copfer and guests. <br /> • Discussed was Ordinance 2015-95 which is an Ordinance to make and transfer <br /> appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North <br /> Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2015, and declaring an emergency. <br /> The Finance Director explained the overall reasoning for all of the items in this <br /> larger than normal transfer. January 1, 2016 , which is a pay day and a holiday, <br /> has to be transferred in 2015 making it the 27th pay. There is a separate column <br /> on the Ordinance; recall the city has been reserving for this event for four years, <br /> 2 <br />
