MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> JANUARY 5,2016 <br /> Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, <br /> Kearney, Limpert and Williamson <br /> Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Assistant Director of Law O'Malley, Director of Finance <br /> Copfer, Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety/Service Glauner, <br /> Director of Planning and Development Wenger and Director of Human <br /> Resources Farver <br /> Absent: Council Member Schumann <br /> Director of Law Gareau <br /> Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br /> 5200 Dover Center Road,North Olmsted, Ohio. <br /> Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance. <br /> The Council meeting minutes of December 15, 2015 were approved as written. <br /> Councilman Barker made a motion to adopt the Rules of Council. The motion was <br /> seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Rules of Council <br /> adopted 6-0. <br /> No legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening. <br /> REPORTS <br /> Mayor Kennedy: <br /> • No report. <br /> Assistant Director of Law O'Malley: <br /> • Regarding Brian Bielozer vs. The City of North Olmsted which was filed in <br /> Federal Court, the case was dismissed then appealed. The appeal has been <br /> withdrawn by Brian Bielozer. The court's dismissal of the lawsuit is now final. <br /> There was a separate case filed against the North Olmsted Civil Service <br /> Commission, and that appeal has also been withdrawn. Both cases have been <br /> dismissed with prejudice. The civil dispute with Bielozer is now resolved. <br /> Councilman Barker thanked everyone for their work on the case. <br /> Director of Finance Copfer: <br /> • No report. <br />
