MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> DECEMBER 15, 2015 <br /> Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, <br /> Kearney, Limpert, Schumann and Williamson <br /> Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br /> Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety/Service Glauner, Director of <br /> Planning and Development Wenger and Director of Human Resources <br /> Farver <br /> Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br /> 5200 Dover Center Road,North Olmsted, Ohio. <br /> Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance. <br /> The Council meeting minutes of December 1 , 2015 were approved as written. <br /> The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br /> this evening: Second Reading — Ordinance 2015-112 and Ordinance 2015-113; First <br /> Reading—Resolution 2015-114 and Resolution 2015-115. <br /> REPORTS <br /> Mayor Kennedy: <br /> • The North Olmsted NOEL was a great end to the city's Bicentennial year. He <br /> thanked everyone that attended and volunteered. There will be a volunteer <br /> recognition event in January for everyone who assisted with the Bicentennial <br /> events. He thanked North Olmsted employees, businesses, organizations and <br /> volunteers that made 2015 a year to remember. <br /> • Recreation Center gift cards are available and on sale. Stop by the Rec Center and <br /> purchase a gift a fitness for your loved ones. The Santa Skate will be Sunday, <br /> December 20, 2015 between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Santa and live reindeer will <br /> be there, hot chocolate and more. Regular skating admission prices will be <br /> charged. There will be a free skating exhibition after the Cleveland Edges Club, <br /> and donations to the Food Pantry will be collected. <br /> • It's not too late to purchase your keepsake for the North Olmsted Bicentennial <br /> ornament. It's a great gift for the holidays. <br /> • The first annual volunteer dinner for the Recreation Center was held. The <br /> Volunteer of the Year was Marty Hayes. <br />
