MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> MARCH 1,2016 <br /> Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, <br /> Kearney, Limpert and Williamson <br /> Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br /> Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety & Service Glauner and Director <br /> of Human Resources Farver <br /> Absent: Council Member Schumann <br /> Director of Planning & Development Wenger <br /> Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br /> 5200 Dover Center Road,North Olmsted, Ohio. <br /> Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance. <br /> The Council meeting minutes of February 16, 2016 were approved as written. <br /> The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br /> this evening: Second Reading — Resolutions 2016-12 & 2016-13; First Reading — <br /> Resolutions 2016-21, 2016-22, 2016-23, 2016-24 & 2016-25. <br /> REPORTS <br /> Mayor Kennedy: <br /> • The State of the Schools address will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at <br /> Springvale from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. <br /> • The Mayor's Art Show will be Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at City Hall from <br /> 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. to celebrate outstanding North Olmsted student art <br /> which will be featured throughout City Hall that evening through the month of <br /> April. <br /> • The Fish Frys continue to be a huge success. <br /> • Thomas Sichko resigned from the North Olmsted Police Department on March <br /> 11, 2016. He has accepted a position with the Portsmouth, New Hampshire <br /> Police Dept. <br /> Director of Law Gareau: <br /> • Today he appeared in Common Pleas Court and filed the Joint Motion and <br /> Agreed Judgment Entry in the matter of Developers Diversified, et al vs. The City <br /> of North Olmsted, Ohio et al. This is the last step in preparing the way for the <br /> new Aloft hotel to be constructed near Moen. <br />
