MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED MARCH 1,2016 Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, Kearney, Limpert and Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety & Service Glauner and Director of Human Resources Farver Absent: Council Member Schumann Director of Planning & Development Wenger Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road,North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council meeting minutes of February 16, 2016 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening: Second Reading — Resolutions 2016-12 & 2016-13; First Reading — Resolutions 2016-21, 2016-22, 2016-23, 2016-24 & 2016-25. REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • The State of the Schools address will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Springvale from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. • The Mayor's Art Show will be Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at City Hall from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. to celebrate outstanding North Olmsted student art which will be featured throughout City Hall that evening through the month of April. • The Fish Frys continue to be a huge success. • Thomas Sichko resigned from the North Olmsted Police Department on March 11, 2016. He has accepted a position with the Portsmouth, New Hampshire Police Dept. Director of Law Gareau: • Today he appeared in Common Pleas Court and filed the Joint Motion and Agreed Judgment Entry in the matter of Developers Diversified, et al vs. The City of North Olmsted, Ohio et al. This is the last step in preparing the way for the new Aloft hotel to be constructed near Moen.
