Council Minutes of 03-01-2016
Lambert said he will admit that he has not read over the Ordinances, but he would like to
know the intent of this so he can understand it. None of this personally affects him, but it
does affect the city. Lambert referenced Ordinance 2016-19. If a food truck comes onto
federal property, the Ordinance wouldn't mean anything because it's federal property and
is exempt from anything that the city can do. He is concerned about food trucks that do
that kind of servicing, even a pizza delivery driver. Is a pizza delivery driver considered
a food delivery service under this Ordinance? Gareau said no, it's those vehicles covered
under the Cuyahoga County Board of Health food licensing. Lambert asked if Moen has
a food truck come onto their property at certain times and then leaves, it won't be
affected by this Ordinance? Gareau said that it could be affected by this Ordinance.
Lambert said this could extend to pizza delivery drivers or anything else. Gareau said
this will be discussed at the committee meeting. If it's a type of food truck that carries a
vending license, then it could potentially be affected.
LEGISLATION
Resolution 2016-4 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading.
