(a) Duties. The Chief of Police shall be responsible for the organization and supervision of the Division of Police. Included within the supervisory authority of the Chief of Police shall be sworn police officers of all ranks within the Division of Police, Central Emergency Dispatchers, Correction Officers, Secretaries, and Auxiliary Officers. (b) Employees. The staffing of the Division of Fire is hereby established and is reflected in the organizational chart for the Department of Public Safety contained in Section 139.99(b), which, as it pertains to this division only, is incorporated herein as if fully rewritten. The Mayor shall establish the compensation of all employees of the Division within the salary ranges established by City Council, to the extent that such compensation is not otherwise established by contract, or federal, state or local law. (c) Prisoner Feeding und. There is hereby established a petty cash fund in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) to be known as the North Olmsted Prisoner Feeding Fund, which Fund shall be a permanent fund replenished by the Finance Department as needed. 139.05 DIVISION OF FIRE There is hereby established a Division of Fire within the Department of Public Safety. The Division of Fire shall be headed by the Chief of Fire. (a) Duties. The Chief of Fire shall be responsible for the organization and supervision of the Division of Fire. Included within the supervisory authority of the Chief of Police shall be firefighters of all ranks, whether part-time or full time, and Secretaries. (b) Employees. The staffing of the Division of Fire is hereby established and is reflected in the organizational chart for the Department of Public Safety contained in Section 139.99(c), which, as it pertains to this division only, is incorporated herein as if fully rewritten. The Mayor shall establish the compensation of all employees of the Division within the salary ranges established by City Council, to the extent that such compensation is not otherwise established by contract, or federal, state or local law. 139.99 COMPOSITION AND ORGANIZATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY The positions set forth herein shall constitute the staff and organization of the Department of Public Safety, together with all divisions there under.
