(a) Duties. The Chief of Police shall be responsible for the organization and <br />supervision of the Division of Police. Included within the supervisory authority of the Chief of <br />Police shall be sworn police officers of all ranks within the Division of Police, Central <br />Emergency Dispatchers, Correction Officers, Secretaries, and Auxiliary Officers. <br />(b) Employees. The staffing of the Division of Fire is hereby established and is <br />reflected in the organizational chart for the Department of Public Safety contained in Section <br />139.99(b), which, as it pertains to this division only, is incorporated herein as if fully rewritten. <br />The Mayor shall establish the compensation of all employees of the Division within the salary <br />ranges established by City Council, to the extent that such compensation is not otherwise <br />established by contract, or federal, state or local law. <br />(c) Prisoner Feeding und. There is hereby established a petty cash fund in the <br />amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) to be known as the North Olmsted Prisoner Feeding <br />Fund, which Fund shall be a permanent fund replenished by the Finance Department as needed. <br />139.05 DIVISION OF FIRE <br />There is hereby established a Division of Fire within the Department of Public Safety. <br />The Division of Fire shall be headed by the Chief of Fire. <br />(a) Duties. The Chief of Fire shall be responsible for the organization and <br />supervision of the Division of Fire. Included within the supervisory authority of the Chief of <br />Police shall be firefighters of all ranks, whether part-time or full time, and Secretaries. <br />(b) Employees. The staffing of the Division of Fire is hereby established and is <br />reflected in the organizational chart for the Department of Public Safety contained in Section <br />139.99(c), which, as it pertains to this division only, is incorporated herein as if fully rewritten. <br />The Mayor shall establish the compensation of all employees of the Division within the salary <br />ranges established by City Council, to the extent that such compensation is not otherwise <br />established by contract, or federal, state or local law. <br />139.99 COMPOSITION AND ORGANIZATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br />The positions set forth herein shall constitute the staff and organization of the Department <br />of Public Safety, together with all divisions there under.
