SP -66: ACI Detailing Manual <br />6. ACI 347, Guide to Formwork for Concrete <br />7. American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), as noted. <br />8. American Welding Society D12.1, Recommended Practices for Welding <br />Reinforcing Steel, Metal Inserts, and Connections in Reinforced Concrete <br />Construction. <br />9. Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI), as noted. <br />PART 2.00 — MATERIALS <br />2.01 CEMENT: Unless otherwise noted, all cement shall be Portland Cement conforming to <br />ASTM C150, Type II. <br />2.02. WATER: Water used in mixing shall be clean and free from deleterious amounts of <br />acids, alkalis, organic matter, or other impurities likely to be injurious to concrete. <br />2.03. ADMIXTURES: <br />A. Chemical Admixtures shall conform to "Chemical Admixtures for Concrete" <br />(ASTM C 494) and shall not be used unless prior approval in writing is obtained <br />from the Engineer.
