Council Minutes of 04-05-2016 <br /> Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and <br /> passed unanimously. Ordinance 2016-26 adopted 7-0. <br /> Resolution 2016-29 introduced by Council President Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy <br /> was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase a new <br /> Ford Utility Interceptor from Statewide Ford Lincoln Mercury at a cost of $25,495.00, <br /> through the State Purchase Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all <br /> documents necessary to effectuate such purchase. <br /> Ordinance 2016-31 introduced by Council President Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy <br /> was given its second reading. An Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 137 <br /> of the Administrative Code, entitled "Department of Law" in order to implement <br /> organization changes within the department, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br /> Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings as this was discussed <br /> in Finance Committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed <br /> unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br /> Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2016-31 adopted 7-0. <br /> Ordinance 2016-32 introduced by Council President Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy <br /> was given its second reading. An Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 135 <br /> of the Administrative Code, entitled "Department of Finance" in order to implement <br /> organization and reporting procedure changes within the department, and declaring an <br /> emergency, as amended. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule <br /> requiring three readings as this was discussed in Finance Committee. The motion was <br /> seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney <br /> moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed <br /> unanimously. Ordinance 2016-32 adopted 7-0. <br /> Ordinance 2016-33 introduced by Council President Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy <br /> was given its second reading. An Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 167 <br /> of the Administrative Code, entitled "Department of Human Resources" in order to <br /> implement organization changes within the department and further to abolish the defunct <br /> Community Life Services Advisory Board, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br /> Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings as this was discussed <br /> in Finance Committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed <br /> unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br /> Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2016-33 adopted 7-0. <br /> Ordinance 2016-34 introduced by Council President Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy <br /> was given its second reading.
