C. Field Report: After all work has been completed, including setting of roof top equipment, and <br />other work required on the roof, provide a report from a Professional Engineering firm or <br />manufacturer's representative verifying watertight and quality installation conforming to all <br />warranty conditions. Report shall include sub surface moisture evaluations and <br />recommendations for necessary repairs of defects and irregularities. <br />D. Manufacturer's Representative: Provide a minimum of three site visits including one at start <br />of work, one during progress and one at completion. (waived for projects under $50,000.00) <br />1.06 ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Do not apply roofing membrane during inclement weather. <br />B. Do not apply roofing membrane to damp or frozen deck surfaces. <br />C. Do not expose materials vulnerable to water or sun damage in quantities greater than can be <br />weatherproofed during the same day. <br />D. At lower air temperatures, to assure sound adhesion, care must be exercised to provide <br />asphalt, at the point of application, at the asphalt's equiviscous temperature (EVT) plus 20 <br />degrees Fahrenheit or at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, whichever is higher. <br />1.07 GUARANTEE <br />A. Provide a twenty year total system guarantee covering the repair of leaks which result from <br />either material or workmanship, including insulation, and attributable to ordinary wear and tear. <br />1.08 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver products to site in factory sealed cartons and crating bearing the manufacturer's <br />labels. <br />B. Store materials in weather protected environment, clear of ground and moisture, in <br />accordance with manufacturer's instructions. Maintain membranes above 50 degrees <br />Fahrenheit prior to their installation. <br />PART 2 -- PRODUCTS <br />2.01 ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURERS <br />A. Subject to compliance with the Specifications provide products manufactured <br />by one of the following: <br />1. The Garland Company <br />2. Viridian Systems, Inc. <br />3. Tremco Roofing <br />2.02 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION <br />A. Four ply, hot asphalt applied modified bitumen membrane system with mineral granule <br />surface cap sheet as the fourth ply. <br />2.03 SHEET MATERIALS <br />A. Base Sheets: Glass Fiber 6 Ply Sheet: ASTM D2178, Type VI, UL Type G1 BUR. <br />B. Membrane: Premium, fire -retarding, modified bitumen membrane and surfaced with light <br />colored mineral granules. Cap sheet shall have the following properties: <br />1. Tensile Strength (ASTM D-5147) 450 lbs. <br />2. Tear Strength (ASTM D-5147) 900 lbs. <br />2.04 BITUMINOUS MATERIALS <br />A. Asphalt Bitumen: ASTM D312, Type III. <br />B. Asphalt Primer: ASTM D41, GAF Asphalt/Concrete Primer. <br />C. Asbestos -Free Cement: ASTM D 4586 Type II <br />2.05 INSULATION <br />A.
