CCBH 2016 SEMI-ANNUAL REPORT City of North Olmsted Page 14 <br />WATERSHED PROGRAM <br />The CCBH's watershed program protects public health and our water quality <br />resources from the impacts of point source and non -point source pollution. These <br />programs emphasize the utilization of watershed -based planning within CCBH, as <br />well as collaborative efforts with partnering agencies. The watershed protection <br />program includes a variety of activities that assist our communities and our <br />collaborative partners, including water quality programs, educational outreach, and <br />public involvement programs. The CCBH is also involved in a number of watershed <br />activities including the preparation of watershed action plans for various watersheds <br />within our jurisdiction, and a number of watershed grants including US EPA Section <br />318 grants, Ohio Lake Erie Commission Grants, ODNR Coastal Management <br />Assistance Grants, and the Ohio Environmental Education Fund Grants. <br />Program.lnquiries.and Resp.anses.(in hours)*.......................7. <br />Surveys....................................................1 <br />SOLID WASTE / MATERIALS MANAGEMENT <br />Staff inspect solid waste facilities including landfills, transfer stations, construction <br />and demolition debris landfills and processing facilities, infectious waste treatment <br />facilities, compost facilities, scrap tire operations, and industrial/hazardous waste <br />monitoring sites.
