Council Minutes of 10-18-2016 <br />• Also discussed was Resolution 2016-98. This is a Resolution authorizing the <br />Mayor to enter into a one year contract with TAC Computer Inc. in order to <br />provide maintenance and repair services to computer hardware and software in <br />the North Olmsted Fire Department. This is a yearly contract to provide <br />maintenance and repairs to the computer systems in the fire department. The City <br />has been doing business with TAC for many years. There was discussion to go <br />out for RFQ's next year due to the fact there are some other companies out there <br />that provide the same services. A motion was made by Barker to recommend <br />approval of 2016-98, which was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and the <br />committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of 2016-93. <br />• Discussed last was Resolution 2016-100 which is a Resolution authorizing the <br />Mayor to enter into a contract with the Cuyahoga County General Health District <br />for the year 2017. This is again a yearly agreement with the County to provide <br />services for North Olmsted. The services are provided at a cost of $4.12, which is <br />a 5% increase over last year. It was also discussed that the Mayor can renew this <br />contract yearly without coming to us with new legislation every year. A motion <br />was made by Barker to recommend approval of 2016-100 again seconded by <br />Williamson and the vote was 3 to 0. <br />Councilman Brossard, Chairman of the Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings <br />Committee: <br />The Recreation, Public Parks and Building Committee met on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 <br />at 7:15 p.m. Present were committee members Brossard, Kearney and Schumann; <br />Council members Barker, Limpert, Williamson; Mayor Kennedy, Safety & Service <br />Director Glauner, Planning & Development Director Wenger and guests. <br />• Discussed first was Resolution 2016-95 which is a Resolution authorizing the <br />Director of Planning & Development to negotiate the sale of city owned real <br />property identified as PPN 234-12-052, vacant land located at 6652 Charles Road, <br />and subject to review and approval by the Director of Law, authorizing the Mayor <br />to enter into an agreement with a purchaser, and further requiring that the net <br />proceeds from the sale shall be directed into the Building and Land Acquisition <br />and Improvement Fund. This is a property the City demolished at an estimated <br />cost of $10,000 and an additional $1,000 estimated cost for a survey. We are <br />required to sell the property at a fair market value based upon a recent appraisal of <br />$25,000. A motion was made by Brossard and it passed 3 to 0. <br />Councilman Barker, Vice Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Development <br />Committee: <br />The Building Zoning and Development Committee met on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at <br />8:05 p.m. Chairman Schumann presided. Present were committee members Barker and <br />Williamson; Council members Brossard, Kearney, Council President Jones; Mayor <br />Kennedy; Planning Director Wenger; Safety Services Director Glauner; Director of <br />Finance Copfer and guests. <br />• The subjects of discussion were CMS -16-6201 Ganely VW 25730 Lorain which <br />will be reported out and voted on at our next Council meeting and Ordinance <br />2016-75 which is on second reading tonight. <br />3 <br />
