Council Minutes of 1-17-2017 <br />entitled "Composition and Organization of the Department of Human Resources" in <br />order to implement organization changes within the department, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Resolution 2017-7 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Mad Bomber Fireworks <br />Productions to provide a fireworks display for the 2017 North Olmsted Fourth of July <br />Celebration. <br />Ordinance 2017-8 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President Jones <br />and all of Council. An Ordinance establishing and fixing the compensation for the elected <br />officials of the City of North Olmsted for the term of office commencing January 1, 2018 <br />and ending December 31, 2021. <br />Ordinance 2017-9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending Chapter 953 entitled "Recreation Center Complex" in order to <br />update the petty cash allocation for the Recreation Center and to eliminate the obsolete <br />Concessions Division. <br />Resolution 2017-10 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a letter agreement with Crown Castle to <br />provide for the modification and extension of a lease agreement to continue the <br />occupancy of real property for the Monopole Cellular Tower located at Clague Park; and <br />further authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to amend and extend <br />such lease agreement. <br />Resolution 2017-11 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Fabrizi Trucking & <br />Paving, Inc., for excavating and construction services to remove sediment from the <br />Springvale Pond, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Brossard made a motion to <br />suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review as this was <br />discussed in caucus and is a time issue. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Kearney and passed unanimously. Councilman Brossard moved for adoption. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2017-11 <br />adopted 7-0. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Brossard scheduled a Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee <br />meeting for Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2017-9. The <br />Recreation Commissioner is asked to attend. <br />Councilman Kearney scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, January 24, <br />2017 at 7:05 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2017-7, Ordinance 2017-8 and Resolution 2017- <br />10. The Mayor and Finance Director are asked to attend. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />Council, President Jones adjourned the Council meeting at approximately 8:26 p.m. <br />0 <br />
