Council Minutes of 1-17-2017 Councilman Schumann concluded his report by congratulating Finance Director Copfer on the Moody's rating. Councilwoman Hemann requested personal privilege. I would like to also thank our Firefighter Jerry Cifranic. On Thursday, January 12 he addressed our North Olmsted Junior Woman's League on fire prevention safety, because he is our fire prevention officer. Actually, it was at that time that I did know that he was going on Saturday to receive the VFW Firefighter of the Year award. He was very excited I can tell you because they did not tell him that they had submitted it. I did want to congratulate him on that and also thank him for all of the community service work that he does through our organizations within the City. AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION No comments. LEGISLATION Resolution 2017-1 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide cracksealing on various streets at various locations in the City, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Service Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2017-2 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide new pavement markings to various streets at various locations in the City, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Service Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2017-3 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide asphalt resurfacing and related repairs upon City streets, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2017-5 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase a new Duraco Durapatcher Model 125DJT Trailer Mount Spray Injection Machine from Leader Machine Company, LTD. At a cost of $56,673.00, through the State Purchase Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to effectuate such purchase.
