Our goal will be to use economic development practices that promote stable, sustainable, and <br />diverse growth in employment, earnings, and taxes in the city of North Olmsted ("city"). MB3 <br />Consulting ("M133") will perform the services outlined below to achieve this goal. <br />Scope of Services <br />➢ Business Retention and Expansion <br />The city wants to ensure existing businesses thrive and remain or expand in North Olmsted. M133 will <br />use a variety of methods to reach out to local businesses to understand their needs and thereby, <br />develop and implement actions to support the retention and expansion of existing businesses. <br />This will include, but not necessarily be limited to, meeting with existing businesses to identify <br />expansion opportunities, linked target industries and companies, business threats, risks of closure, etc. <br />We will identify and pursue redevelopment opportunities for strategic land parcels, towards catalytic <br />growth of North Olmsted as a preferred commercial district in the region. Our business retention and <br />expansion strategies will identify and prioritize target project types that mesh with the city's goals, <br />resources, strengths and weaknesses. <br />Performance measures: <br />o Provide technical assistance to existing businesses to assist them to retain jobs and/or expand. <br />o Analysis of existing businesses by utilizing income tax records and/or third party business data <br />sources to evaluate growth, decline, establishment, or closure of existing businesses within the <br />city of North Olmsted. <br />o Provide resources to entrepreneurs and early stage businesses as requested. <br />➢ Business Attraction and Marketing <br />M133 shall take steps necessary to put the city of North Olmsted in a reasonable positon to compete for <br />prospective business development projects at regional, state and national levels. As M133 identifies <br />businesses considering new locations, we will coordinate programs, procedures, policies and marketing <br />materials that make the city an attractive and competitive option. In addition, MB3 will actively <br />
