Please come out and show your support. The first
week was great for Saint Brendan. They received over $2,000.00 in tips and from
the bake sale. Additionally, it was the highest grossing Fish Fry at over $7,000.00.
We appreciate the people who attended and please come out next Friday.
• We are up to over 90 in our deer count and are getting close to our permitted tags
by the ODNR of 100.
• The Senior Casino Challenge has been a huge success. The increase in senior
visits is up 31 %. I walked into the Rec Center the other day and I thought I was
walking into the Jack Casino. The seniors love it. Thanks to Betsy Drenski and
Chris Wetmore for being innovative and getting the seniors to the Rec Center.
• The First Residential Permit Forum on February 27 was well received by 40
residents and contractors. The positive feedback has led the Planning and
Development Department to plan on making this an annual event.
• The City was successful in receiving $150,000.00 Community Development
Block Grant for the Burns Road Sidewalk Project. The design will begin in April,
bidding in June and construction planned in August.
• The City also took advantage of the unusually warm weather and Springvale had
485 rounds played grossing over $1,600.00. Last month was budgeted for $0.00
so that's a good start to the year.
