Off -Street Parking, Loading and Transportation <br />1. Amount. Bicycle parking shall be provided at a minimum amount of five percent (5%) of <br />the number of spaces provided for car parking or as determined by the Planning and <br />Development Director based upon the use proposed. <br />2. Location. Bicycle parking shall be located within 75 feet of the main entrance of the <br />building it serves. <br />3. DesiAn. For each required bicycle parking space, a stationary object shall be provided to <br />which a user can secure a bicycle with at least two (2) points of contact with a six (6) foot <br />cable and lock. The stationary object shall be either a freestanding bicycle rack or a wall - <br />mounted bracket. Features of an acceptable bicycle rack: <br />a. Installed on a permanent foundation (e.g., concrete pad) to ensure stability or <br />securely anchored to the foundation with tamper -proof nuts if surface mounted. <br />b. Keeps both bike wheels on the ground. <br />c. Design that prevents the bicycle from tipping over. <br />d. Ability to support a variety of bicycle sizes and frame shapes`. <br />e. Space to secure the frame and one or both wheels to the rack with a cable, chain or <br />u -lock. <br />Section 1161.07 Access Management <br />A. Functional Classification. Driveway Spacing Standards. The following minimum spacing requirements shall apply to <br />all curb cuts and driveways within any non-residential zoning district for roads designated in <br />Table 1161.07-1 as Principal Arterial and Minor Arterial. <br />1161.07-2, Driveway <br />SpacingTable .. . <br />Posted Speed <br />Minimum Distance <br />25 mph <br />155 ft. <br />30 mph <br />200 ft. <br />35 mph <br />250 ft. <br />These driveway spacing standards are guidelines and will be required if such distances can <br />be achieved given the property limits and site layout. However, the City recognizes that in <br />many cases these distances may not be feasible given the existing development and <br />property lines within the City. In these instances, the City will make a determination as to <br />what spacing will be required, and whether or not a driveway will be required to be <br />directionally restricted in lieu of not meeting the spacings listed in Table 1161.07-2. <br />Page 1161-10 City of North Olmsted Zoning Code <br />
