Definitions <br />LOT LINE, SIDE means the line that extends from the front to the rear lot line and separates <br />a lot from an adjacent lot that faces on the same street. <br />LOT, NONCONFORMING means a lot existing lawfully at the time this Code, or an amendment <br />thereto, became effective but which does not conform to the lot area, width, access or other <br />requirements of the district in which it is located. <br />LOT OF RECORD means a lot that exists as shown or described on a subdivision plat, plat map <br />or deed in the records of Cuyahoga County. <br />LOT SIZE, MINIMUM, means the minimum size that a building lot must be for a building to be <br />constructed legally at that site. <br />LOT WIDTH means the horizontal distance of a lot measured along the front building line at the <br />front building setback line. <br />LOT, ZONING means a parcel of land abutting a dedicated street, occupied or -intended to be <br />occupied by a main and accessory use or a main and accessory building, the minimum area of <br />which shall be as required by this Code. A zoning lot may or may pot coincide with a lot of <br />record. <br />LOWEST FINISHED FLOOR means the lowest finished floor of the. lowest enclosed area. An <br />unfinished or flood -resistant enclosure usable solelyfor parking of vehicles, building access, or <br />storage located in an area other than a basement Is not considered a building's lowest finished <br />floor; provided such enclosure is not built to render the structure in Violation of the applicable <br />non -elevation design requirements of this ordinance. <br />LUMINAIRE means the complete lighting unit, including the lamp, the fixture and other parts. <br />Section 1115.08 Definitions M -N <br />MARQUEE means a permanent roof -like structure projecting beyond a building or extending <br />along and projecting beyond the wall of the building. <br />MASTER PLAN means the City of North Olmsted's Master Plan. <br />MECHANICAL AMUSEMENT DEVICE means a machine, device or instrument that upon the <br />insertion of a coin, plate, disc, plug, key or token of value, or payment of money operates or <br />may be operated for use as a game, contest of skill or amusement of any description. Music <br />devices (juke boxes), postage dispensing machines, kiddie ride machines and other penny - <br />operated machines are not'included in this definition. Use of a building or any part of a building <br />for a mechanical amusement device shall be accessory only to a permitted main use. <br />MEDICAL SERWCIES, _CLINICS AND MEDICAL OFFICES <br />a. CLINIC means facility other than a hospital where medical, mental health, surgical and other <br />personal health services are provided on an outpatient basis. Examples of these uses <br />include; medical offices with five (5) or more licensed practitioners and/or medical <br />specialties, outpatient care facilities, urgent care facilities and other allied health services. <br />These facilities may also include incidental medical laboratories and/or pharmacies. <br />b. MEDICAL OFFICE means a facility other than a hospital where medical, dental, mental <br />health, surgical and/or other personal health care services are provided on an outpatient <br />basis, and that accommodates no more than four (4) licensed primary practitioners (for <br />example, chiropractors, medical doctors, psychiatrists, etc., other than nursing staff within <br />an individual office suite.
