MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />APRIL 18, 2017 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Hemann, Kearney, <br />Limpert, Rahm, Schumann & Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human <br />Resources Gallo, Assistant Director of Law O'Malley, Director of Safety <br />& Service Glauner, Clerk of Council Massarolo, and Director of Planning <br />& Development Wenger <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Council meeting minutes of April 4, 2017 were approved as written. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• Community Shred Day is April 22 from 9 -Noon. Parking is behind the Police <br />Station. This is for North Olmsted residents only. <br />• The Earth Fair is on Sunday, April 23 from 1-4p.m. at the North Olmsted <br />Community Cabin. This is a free family event to celebrate environmental <br />awareness in North Olmsted and beyond. <br />• Finally, I'm excited to have State Representative Dave Greenspan here to present <br />a proclamation. I'll turn the floor over to him. Dave Greenspan said every once in <br />a while they have an opportunity at the State House to issue Accommodations to <br />our community. Today, I'd like to present an Accommodation to our newest <br />North Olmsted City Councilman Daniel Rahm. This is something I want to try to <br />do to recognize members who have stepped forward in our community and have <br />given of themselves to be open to the public and do the people's work. So I'd like <br />to present this Accommodation to you from the Ohio House of Representatives. <br />While it is signed by the Speaker and me, it is on behalf of the entire House. <br />Congratulations. <br />Assistant Director of Law O'Malley: <br />• No Report. <br />Finance Director Copfer: <br />• The auditors started doing pension testing of the data we have provided them to <br />make sure when the distributions do occur it is being calculated correctly. A few <br />years ago, we did OPERS, this year they are testing the police and fire fighters <br />data. We are compliant and have no issues with it. <br />
