Council Minutes of 5-16-2017 <br />the fines could be between $460,000 and $927,000. So there is a huge incentive <br />built in for them to do the work. <br />• City of North Olmsted v. SJ Relax Incorporation is the massage parlor <br />establishment. They have moved, but we still have a case pending in court. The <br />court has been asked to provide a ruling on our code. It is possible this will be <br />dismissed, but right now it is still pending. <br />• City of North Olmsted v. Jia Shufang and City of North Olmsted v. Jiayue Dong <br />are related criminal cases that arose from the massage establishment. These cases <br />remain pending. We expect this will be resolved through a plea agreement in the <br />next couple of days. <br />Councilman Schumann Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee: <br />The Building, Zoning and Development Committee met on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at <br />7:00 p.m. Present were committee members Schumann, Rahm and Williamson; Council <br />members Brossard, Hemann and Limpert; Director of Planning and Development <br />Wenger and guests. <br />• Discussed was Ordinance 2017-38. An Ordinance amending Ordinance 2006-200 <br />for the purpose of establishing a new and revised fee schedule for various City <br />Boards and Commissions, and declaring an emergency. This legislation makes <br />some adjustments to reflect current changes to our zoning code as well as some <br />small increases in some of the fees. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend to <br />full council with suspension of the rules. <br />Councilman Rahm Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 7:10 <br />p.m. Present were committee members Rahm, Williamson and Brossard; Council <br />members Limpert, Hemann and Schumann; and guests. <br />• There were two liquor permits considered this evening. The first was permit <br />number 9170558 Uptown Mart LLC located at 24662 Lorain Road. This is a <br />transfer of a C1, C2 and D6 permit from UDF Limited Partnership II doing <br />business as United Dairy Farmers 325 located at the same address. The North <br />Olmsted Police Department had no objection. Councilman Rahm made a motion <br />to not object to liquor permit 9170558 Uptown Mart located at 24662 Lorain <br />Road which was seconded by Councilwoman Williams and passed 3-0. <br />Councilman Rahm made a motion to not object to a transfer of liquor permit number <br />9170558 for Uptown Mart LLC located at 24662 Lorain Road. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Liquor permit approved 7-0. <br />• Discussed next was permit number 61433920200 Moran Foods LLC doing <br />business as Save A Lot 647 located at 23100 Lorain Road Unit 153. This is a <br />Change of Stock request for a Cl, C2 and D6 permit. The North Olmsted Police <br />Department had no objection. Councilman Rahm made a motion to not object to <br />liquor permit 61433920200 Moran Foods LLC, doing business as Save A Lot 647 <br />located at 23100 Lorain Road Unit 153 which was seconded by Councilwoman <br />Williamson and passed 3-0. <br />2 <br />
