MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 20, 2017 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Hemann, Kearney, Limpert, <br />Rahm, Schumann & Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Safety & Service <br />Glauner, Director of Law Gareau, and Clerk of Council Massarolo <br />Absent: Councilman Brossard, Director of Human Resources Gallo and Director of <br />Planning & Development Lieber <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading — Resolution 2017-40, Resolution 2017-41, Ordinance <br />2017-43 and Resolution 2017-44; First Reading — Ordinance 2017-47. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• 2017 Boom is scheduled for Sunday, July 2 at Country Club and Northern Mall. <br />The fireworks go off at dusk, but the event starts at 7:00 p.m. <br />• We had a great turnout for the North Olmsted City Scholarship Race on Saturday. <br />A big thanks to all our sponsors and volunteers, many who work here at the city. <br />• Finally, the City Offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 4t" in observance of <br />Independence Day. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• No Report. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />• No Report. <br />Councilman Kearney Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br />The Finance Committee met on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Kearney, Schumann and Rahm; Council members Hemann and <br />Limpert; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy and Director of Finance Copfer. <br />• Discussed first was Ordinance 2017-40. An Ordinance to make and transfer <br />appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North <br />Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2017, and declaring an emergency. <br />
