Council Minutes of 6-20-2017 <br />Ordinance 2017-43 introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a <br />contract with John Patrick Picard Architect, Inc. for the purpose of providing <br />architectural services for the Old Town Hall Renovation Project, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three <br />readings as this was discussed in Committee and is time sensitive. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance 2017-43 adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2017-44 introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution adopting the Alternative Tax Budget of the City of North Olmsted for the <br />fiscal year beginning January 1, 2018, and submitting the same to the Cuyahoga County <br />Fiscal Officer and its Budget Commission, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />Kearney made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings as this was <br />discussed in Committee and is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Schumann and passed 5-1. Councilman Limpert voted no. Councilman Kearney moved <br />for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2017-44 adopted 6-0. <br />Ordinance 2017-46 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending Chapter 1135 "One and Two Family Residence Districts" of <br />Chapter Eleven of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted titled "Planning <br />and Zoning Code," for the purpose of implementing zoning code changes proposed by <br />the City of North Olmsted Planning and Design Commission. <br />Ordinance 2017-47 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President <br />Jones on behalf of herself and all of Council. An Ordinance to revise the Codified <br />Ordinances by adopting current replacement pages; and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Limpert made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and <br />formal committee review as this was discussed in Caucus. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. Councilman Limpert moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance 2017-47 adopted 6-0. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Kearney made a motion to excuse the absence of Councilman Brossard. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously.
