1135.02 PLANNING AND ZONING CODE 60 <br />Main Buildings and Uses <br />Governmental: Municipal, County <br />State and Federal buildings <br />and uses for administrative <br />functions and uses by the <br />general public. <br />Civic: churches, libraries, <br />museums, places for public <br />assembly, memorials, <br />monuments, cemeteries, <br />fraternal organizations <br />and private clubs. <br />Educational: primary and <br />secondary public, private <br />or parochial schools. <br />Welfare: general and special <br />hospitals, health centers, <br />nursing homes, institutions <br />for children and for the aged <br />and day-care centers and any and <br />all uses and restrictions as provided <br />for in Chapter 1138. <br />Recreational: parks, recreation <br />fields and playgrounds, lakes, <br />beaches, pools and public <br />gardens and golf courses. <br />(Ord. 97-121. Passed 2-17-98.) <br />Accessory Buildings and Uses <br />Public parking areas or <br />storage garage. <br />Residence for custodians or <br />guards. <br />Maintenance facilities. <br />1135.02 ACCESSORY USES AND BUILDINGS. <br />The following accessory uses and buildings are permitted in any One and Two Family <br />Residence District, provided that no accessory building may be erected prior to the <br />construction of the dwelling: <br />(a) Home Professional Office. An office for a professional person residing in the <br />dwelling and employing not more than one nonresident assistant may be <br />permitted in a Residence District, provided: <br />(1) The residential character of the dwelling exterior remains unchanged; <br />(2) Any equipment used therein shall not create any exterior disturbances; <br />(3) The number of motor vehicles attracted to the premises shall not exceed <br />the number normally associated with a single family residence; and <br />(4) No sign or other outward evidence of the occupation shall be displayed <br />except for one nameplate complying with the provisions of Chapter <br />1163. <br />(b) Home Occupation. A home occupation may be permitted in a Residence <br />District provided: <br />(1) Only members of the family residing within the dwelling shall work <br />therein; <br />(2) The occupation is conducted wholly within the resident dwelling; <br />(3) No merchandise shall be sold except that which is produced or <br />processed on the premises; <br />(4) No mechanical equipment shall be used which will create any dust, <br />noise, odors, glare, vibrations or electrical disturbances beyond the lot; <br />2006 Replacement <br />
