1135.02 PLANNING AND ZONING CODE 62 <br />(6) On a corner lot, any accessory structure shall be set back not less than <br />the required front building setback for the abutting lot on the side street. <br />(7) Floodlights, search lights, loudspeakers or similar structures shall not be <br />erected or used in any Residence District unless approved by the <br />Building Official. <br />(e) Animal Shelter. Accessory buildings designed, built, altered or used to house <br />domestic fowl or animals provided that it is located so that no part of the same <br />shall be within ten feet of any rear or side line of the lot on which the same is <br />located and within 200 feet of a dwelling on any adjacent lot or within 200 feet <br />of the source of any private water supply or any street line. Shelters for dogs <br />shall not be subject to the foregoing requirements as to location except that the <br />same shall be confined to the rear yard area. <br />(f) Fences. <br />(1) A fence not exceeding six feet in height may be placed along any side or <br />rear property line providing it does not extend nearer the street line than <br />the front building line, except that fences in which at least fifty percent <br />(50%) of the face is open may be established from the front building line <br />to the street line and on the street line provided the same does not exceed <br />thirty inches in height at any time. No electrified or barbed wire fence <br />shall be erected or installed at any location. <br />(2) A six foot high fence may be constructed on a corner lot in the rear yard <br />provided that the same is located at the required front building setback of <br />the abutting lot on the side street. <br />(g) Antenna and Tower. An independent television antenna or radio tower not to <br />exceed fifty feet in height and not used for commercial purposes, so long as it is <br />located in either a rear or side yard, attached to the gabled side of the dwelling <br />where practical. <br />(h) Recreational Vehicle. Recreational vehicles (including, but not limited to <br />boats, travel trailers, motor homes and utility trailers) may be stored in a <br />completely enclosed garage in a manner which does not impair the complete <br />closing of the garage's door or doors. Further, no more than two additional <br />recreational vehicles may be parked or stored on a lot, outside of a garage, as <br />follows: <br />(1) Side yard areas. One vehicle may be parked or stored in the side yard <br />area (but not in the side yard area of a corner lot which abuts a street); <br />provided, however, that if the side yard area faces a house which has a <br />first floor window opening to habitable room, then the vehicle may be <br />parked or stored in the side yard area only if the distance from where the <br />vehicle is to be parked or stored to the house is greater than the length of <br />the vehicle; <br />(2) Rear yard areas. Vehicles may be parked or stored in the rear yard area, <br />provided, however, that a distance no less than five feet to the side lot <br />line and ten feet to the rear lot line shall be maintained between the lot <br />line and the vehicle; and further provided, however, that the combined <br />square footage of the vehicles and all other accessory structures in the <br />rear yard area shall not exceed the limitation provided for in subsection <br />(d)(2) hereof; and further provided, however, with respect to corner lots <br />only, that the vehicles shall not be parked or stored in the setback area <br />for the side of the house which faces the street; <br />(3) Front yard areas. Vehicles may not be parked or stored in the front yard <br />area, except one vehicle upon a driveway and then only for a period of <br />time which does not exceed seventy-two hours within a consecutive <br />twenty-one day period. <br />2006 Replacement <br />
