Council Minutes of 10-3-2017 Mr. Lamb asked if this legislation would have a review and potential revision to proper driveways and sidewalks and if so how long will it take. Council President Jones responded, yes and it will be done over the course of a couple weeks to months. Mayor Kennedy said that is correct we are going to review it and you can thank Councilman Rahm. Seeing no other comments, Councilman Rahm moved for adoption of Ordinance 2017- 69. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2017-69 passed 7-0. Ordinance 2017-70 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Safety to purchase an Emergency Medical Vehicle for the North Olmsted Fire Department from Horton EMV at a cost of $342,098.00, as priced through the State Purchasing Program; further authorizing the Mayor to execute necessary contract documents, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2017-71 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to purchase concrete materials and related supplies, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2017-72 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one year contract with TAC Computer Inc., in order to provide maintenance and repair services to computer hardware and software in the North Olmsted Fire Department. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Council President Jones asked if there was a motion on the floor to extend leave beyond 90 days for shifts missed in August 2017. Law Director Gareau clarified the motion should be made for Paramedic Jim Knipper pursuant to Collective Bargaining Agreement Section 17.1(c). Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to extend the leave for Paramedic Jim Knipper to extend the leave beyond 90 days for shifts missed in August 2017 pursuant to Collective Bargaining Agreement Section 17.1(c). The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed 4-3. Leave for Paramedic Jim Knipper extended beyond 90 days for shifts missed in August 2017 pursuant to Collective Bargaining Agreement Section 17.1(c) by a vote of 4-3. No votes were by Councilmembers Schumann, Hemann and Limpert. 11
