Council Minutes of 10-3-2017 <br />Mr. Lamb asked if this legislation would have a review and potential revision to proper <br />driveways and sidewalks and if so how long will it take. <br />Council President Jones responded, yes and it will be done over the course of a couple <br />weeks to months. <br />Mayor Kennedy said that is correct we are going to review it and you can thank <br />Councilman Rahm. <br />Seeing no other comments, Councilman Rahm moved for adoption of Ordinance 2017- <br />69. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance 2017-69 passed 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2017-70 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Safety to purchase an Emergency Medical <br />Vehicle for the North Olmsted Fire Department from Horton EMV at a cost of <br />$342,098.00, as priced through the State Purchasing Program; further authorizing the <br />Mayor to execute necessary contract documents, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2017-71 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of a contract to purchase concrete materials and related supplies, as detailed in the <br />specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval <br />of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2017-72 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one year contract with TAC Computer <br />Inc., in order to provide maintenance and repair services to computer hardware and <br />software in the North Olmsted Fire Department. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Council President Jones asked if there was a motion on the floor to extend leave beyond <br />90 days for shifts missed in August 2017. <br />Law Director Gareau clarified the motion should be made for Paramedic Jim Knipper <br />pursuant to Collective Bargaining Agreement Section 17.1(c). <br />Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to extend the leave for Paramedic Jim <br />Knipper to extend the leave beyond 90 days for shifts missed in August 2017 pursuant to <br />Collective Bargaining Agreement Section 17.1(c). The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Kearney and passed 4-3. Leave for Paramedic Jim Knipper extended beyond <br />90 days for shifts missed in August 2017 pursuant to Collective Bargaining Agreement <br />Section 17.1(c) by a vote of 4-3. <br />No votes were by Councilmembers Schumann, Hemann and Limpert. <br />11 <br />
