Council Minutes of 12-05-2017 seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved to adopt Resolution 2017-87. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2017-87 adopted 7-0. Ordinance 2017-88 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance to make temporary appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2018, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2017-89 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution determining to submit to the electors the question of issuing bonds for the purpose of improving the City's park and recreational facilities by constructing, renovating, remodeling, adding to, furnishing, equipping and otherwise improving facilities for aquatics, basketball, volleyball, ice skating, fitness, indoor and outdoor walking and gymnastics, ball fields, public spaces, locker rooms and spaces for related and supporting activities at the recreation center complex; improving North Olmsted Community Park by constructing, furnishing, equipping and otherwise improving a new football and soccer field, a band shell and performance stage, an all-purpose trail, playgrounds, bocce courts, parking areas and related supporting facilities and improving existing ball fields, restrooms and other facilities; and improving Barton and Bradley Park by improving existing facilities and providing supporting site, street and sidewalk improvements, in each case together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto; and declaring an emergency. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Councilman Kearney scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. and December 16, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. to discuss Ordinance 2017-88. Councilwoman Hemann scheduled an Intra -Governmental Relations Committee meeting for Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss five reappointments to various Boards and Commissions. The Director of Planning & Development is asked to attend. Councilman Brossard scheduled a Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee meeting for Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 7:10 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2017-89. The Mayor is asked to attend.
