Council Minutes of 1-2-2018 <br />gymnastics, ball fields, public spaces, locker rooms and spaces for related and supporting <br />activities at the Recreation Center Complex; improving North Olmsted Community Park <br />by constructing, furnishing, equipping and otherwise improving a new football and <br />soccer field, a band shell and performance stage, an all-purpose trail, playgrounds, bocce <br />courts, parking areas and related supporting facilities; and improving existing ball fields, <br />restrooms and other facilities, and improving Barton and Bradley Park by improving <br />existing facilities and providing supporting site, street and sidewalk improvements; in <br />each case together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto; and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2018-2 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution approving of and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Collective Bargaining <br />Agreement with the Ohio Patrolman's Benevolent Association, for the Dispatchers, for <br />the period January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2020, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2018-3 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to solicit RFP's for a consultant <br />to provide a communication "fiber ring" survey, analysis and recommendations and, <br />subject to approval of the Board of Control, additionally authorizing the Mayor to enter <br />into a contract for such services, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2018-4 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilwoman Hemann. <br />An Ordinance amending Section 505.15 entitled "Keeping, Maintaining and Feeding of <br />Wild Animals" of Chapter Five of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted <br />in order to include Geese, Ducks and Waterfowl, in the definition of wild animals, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Brossard scheduled a Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee meeting <br />for Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2018-4 and liquor <br />permits. <br />Councilman Schumann scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, January 9, <br />2018 at 7:10 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2018-2 and Resolution 2018-3. The Director of <br />Safety & Service and Director of Human Resources are asked to attend. <br />Council President Jones scheduled a Committee of the Whole meeting for Tuesday, <br />January 9, 2018 at 7:25 p.m. to discuss appointments to Boards and Commissions. <br />Councilman Kearney scheduled a Recreation Committee meeting for Tuesday, January 9, <br />2018 at 7:30 to discuss Resolution 2018-1. The Mayor and Director of Finance are asked <br />to attend. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />Council, President Jones adjourned the Council meeting at approximately 8:16 p.m. <br />a] <br />
