Council Minutes of 1-16-2018 Ordinance 2018-7 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending and restating Section 957.01 of Chapter 957 (Alcoholic Beverages on Public Grounds) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted in order to modify the approval process for permits. Resolution 2018-8 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase for Police Department use three (3) new Ford Utility Police Interceptors and related equipment, all through the State Purchase Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to effectuate such purchase, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2018-9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Harvey, Abens, Iouse Co., LPA to provide professional services for, among other things, developing a comprehensive policy and procedure manual and employee handbook, and providing supervisor/department training, and declaring an emergency. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Councilman Kearney scheduled a Recreation Committee meeting for Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2018-6 and Ordinance 2018-7. The Director of Human Resources is asked to attend. Councilman Brossard scheduled a Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee meeting for Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 7:15 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2018-8. The Director of Safety & Service is asked to attend. Councilwoman Williamson scheduled a Building, Zoning & Development Committee meeting for Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 7:25 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2018-5 and Ordinance 2017-76. The Director of Planning & Development is asked to attend. Councilman Schumann scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 7:45 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2018-2 and Ordinance 2018-9. The Director of Human Resources and Director of Finance are asked to attend. Council President Jones scheduled a Committee of the Whole meeting for Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 7:55 p.m. to discuss the Property Maintenance Stay. The Director of Planning & Development is asked to attend. Council President Jones scheduled a Special Council Meeting for Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2018-1 and two pieces of legislation regarding Notes for Capital Projects. With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before Council, President Jones adjourned the Council meeting at approximately 8:43 p.m. 7
