MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FEBRUARY 20, 2018 Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, Kearney, Limpert, Schumann & Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director of Planning & Development Lieber, and Clerk of Council Massarolo Absent: Director of Human Resources Gallo Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council meeting minutes of February 6, 2018 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening: Second Reading — Ordinance 2018-14, Ordinance 2018-15 and Resolution 2018-16. REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • The State of the City will be this Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Springvale Ballroom. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. • The Fish Fry's are going well. The first one was last Friday. The charity was I Wear Grey For Calvin, Calvin was the student that passed away. Over $2100 was raised in tips, bake sale and 50/50 drawing. The Fish Fry grossed nearly $3600. It was a good start to the Fish Fry season and it was pretty steady the entire time. • Deer culling is going well, we are up to 77. • The Planning & Development Department is hosting the Second Annual Residential Permit Forum. It will be held on Monday, February 26 at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. Attendees will meet Building Department staff and get their questions answered. Residents, Contractors, Design Professionals and Councilmembers are encouraged to attend. Director of Law Gareau: • No Report. Director of Finance Copfer: • No Report.
