Council Minutes of 2-6-2018 Ordinance 2018-10 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. An Ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of not to exceed $1,728,500 of Notes, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to provide funds to pay costs of improving Alden Drive and certain other designated streets between certain termini in the City by reconstructing and rehabilitating the pavement base, adjusting, constructing and reconstructing catch basins, curbs and curb ramps, manholes and utility valve and monument boxes, where necessary, preparing the surface and resurfacing, in each case together with necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. Ordinance 2018-11 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. An Ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of not to exceed $261,500 of Notes, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to provide funds to pay costs of acquiring and installing telecommunications system equipment and network fiber, together with necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto, for use in carrying out City services and functions. Resolution 2018-12 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and Council President Jones and was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to enter into an agreement with the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council (NOPEC), to accept NOPEC energized community grants for 2018, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney moved to suspend the rules regarding three readings as this was discussed in committee and is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved to adopt Resolution 2018-12. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed 5-0. Resolution 2018-12 adopted 5-0. Resolution 2018-13 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning & Development to solicit proposals for a contract to demolish and remove a dangerous building located at 4033 Walter Road, as a public nuisance; and further authorizing the demolition costs to be certified as a tax lien pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 715.261 and Section 1363.108.7 of the Codified Ordinances, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2018-14 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy on behalf of himself and Council President Jones. An Ordinance amending Section 1363.302.8 of Chapter 1363 of the Real Property Maintenance Code entitled "Sidewalks, Parking Areas and Driveways," in order to provide modified standards for enforcement, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2018-15 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President Jones on behalf of herself and Council members Brossard, Hemann and Kearney. An Ordinance repealing Ordinance 2017-69, which suspended for six (6) months the enforcement of Section 1363.302.8 of Chapter 1363 of the Real Property Maintenance Code entitled "Sidewalks, Parking Areas and Driveways," and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2018-16 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy.
