Council Minutes of 2-6-2018 <br />Ordinance 2018-10 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. <br />An Ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of not to exceed $1,728,500 of Notes, <br />in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to provide funds to pay costs of improving Alden <br />Drive and certain other designated streets between certain termini in the City by <br />reconstructing and rehabilitating the pavement base, adjusting, constructing and <br />reconstructing catch basins, curbs and curb ramps, manholes and utility valve and <br />monument boxes, where necessary, preparing the surface and resurfacing, in each case <br />together with necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. <br />Ordinance 2018-11 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and was given its second reading. <br />An Ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of not to exceed $261,500 of Notes, in <br />anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to provide funds to pay costs of acquiring and <br />installing telecommunications system equipment and network fiber, together with <br />necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto, for use in carrying out City services <br />and functions. <br />Resolution 2018-12 was introduced by Mayor Kennedy and Council President Jones and <br />was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City <br />of North Olmsted, to enter into an agreement with the Northeast Ohio Public Energy <br />Council (NOPEC), to accept NOPEC energized community grants for 2018, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney moved to suspend the rules regarding <br />three readings as this was discussed in committee and is time sensitive. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney <br />moved to adopt Resolution 2018-12. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Schumann and passed 5-0. Resolution 2018-12 adopted 5-0. <br />Resolution 2018-13 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning & Development to solicit proposals for a <br />contract to demolish and remove a dangerous building located at 4033 Walter Road, as a <br />public nuisance; and further authorizing the demolition costs to be certified as a tax lien <br />pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 715.261 and Section 1363.108.7 of the Codified <br />Ordinances, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2018-14 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy on <br />behalf of himself and Council President Jones. An Ordinance amending Section <br />1363.302.8 of Chapter 1363 of the Real Property Maintenance Code entitled "Sidewalks, <br />Parking Areas and Driveways," in order to provide modified standards for enforcement, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2018-15 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President <br />Jones on behalf of herself and Council members Brossard, Hemann and Kearney. An <br />Ordinance repealing Ordinance 2017-69, which suspended for six (6) months the <br />enforcement of Section 1363.302.8 of Chapter 1363 of the Real Property Maintenance <br />Code entitled "Sidewalks, Parking Areas and Driveways," and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2018-16 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution declaring the necessity of the construction and repair of certain sidewalks in <br />the City of North Olmsted by the abutting property owners; the construction, repair and <br />7 <br />
