Council Minutes of 4-3-2018 detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Ordinance 2018-41 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance accepting a traffic control equipment easement located on property owned by Zapata Real Estate, LLC., an Ohio Corporation, designated as permanent parcel number 231-26-003 by Cuyahoga County Maps and Records, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2018-42 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to make application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for a NatureWorks Grant for improvements to North Olmsted Community Park through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR); further authorizing a local match of 25%; further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant, if awarded, and to execute any contract with ODNR, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2018-43 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution declaring the necessity of the construction and repair of certain sidewalks in the City of North Olmsted by the abutting property owners; the construction, repair, and assessment of the costs of sidewalks in certain cases by the City and declaring an emergency. Councilman Limpert moved to suspend the rule requiring three readings and formal committee review as this was heard in Caucus and is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2018-43 adopted 6-0. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Councilman Schumann moved to excuse the absence of Councilwoman Williamson. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. Councilwoman Williamson excused by a vote of 6-0. Councilman Kearney scheduled a Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee meeting for Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2018-42. The Director of Planning & Development is asked to attend. Councilman Brossard scheduled a Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee meeting for Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 7:10 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2018-37 and Ordinance 2018-41. Councilman Schumann scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 7:25 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2018-38. The Director of Human Resources is asked to attend. Councilman Limpert scheduled a Streets and Transportation Committee meeting for Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 7:35 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2018-40. The Director of Safety & Service is asked to attend. 5
