Council Minutes of 4-3-2018 <br />same with the lowest and best bidder. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />2018-18 adopted 6-0. <br />Councilman Glassburn voted yes with comment. I would like to thank the Administration <br />for their willingness to include Ward II residents in terms of working with the contractor <br />to see if they can be made available the same opportunity. <br />Resolution 2018-34 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution dispensing with the Request for Proposal (R.F.P.) process required to obtain <br />the services of a vendor to provide services to repair the Recreation Center Ice Rink and <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the Brewer -Garrett Company, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney moved to suspend the rule requiring three <br />readings as this is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann <br />and passed unanimously. Resolution 2018-34 <br />adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2018-35 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Xavus Solutions, LLC. for <br />the purchase and license of the "My Senior Center" system in the Division of Aging, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2018-36 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to solicit proposals for the <br />personal services of a broker/consultant to assist the City of North Olmsted in the <br />assessment and selection of health care and related benefits, and further authorizing the <br />Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract for services. <br />Resolution 2018-37 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Kearney <br />on behalf of himself, Council President Jones, Councilman Brossard and Councilman <br />Schumann. A Resolution supporting the North Olmsted School District's efforts to <br />encourage an increase in school safety and a reduction of violence in schools. <br />Ordinance 2018-38 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending Section 161.01 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted entitled "Employees Generally" for the purpose of amending the Family Leave <br />Policy of the City of North Olmsted to make it consistent with the Family and Medical <br />Leave Act. <br />Ordinance 2018-39 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to contract with MTech Company to purchase at State <br />Purchase Price, a Cues Steerable Pipe Ranger at a cost of $92,390.90, compatible with <br />Cues Camera Truck, for use in Sewer Inspections and at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br />Resolution 2018-40 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of a contract to provide asphalt resurfacing and related repairs upon MacKenzie Road, as <br />S <br />
