Council Minutes of 4-17-2018 <br />the purchase and license of the "My Senior Center" system in the Division of Aging, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2018-35 <br />adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2018-36 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to solicit proposals for the <br />personal services of a broker/consultant to assist the City of North Olmsted in the <br />assessment and selection of health care and related benefits, and further authorizing the <br />Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract for services. <br />Councilman Schumann moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Brossard and passed unanimously. Resolution 2018-36 adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2018-37 introduced by Councilman Kearney on behalf of himself, Council <br />President Jones, Councilman Brossard and Councilman Schumann was given its second <br />reading. A Resolution supporting the North Olmsted School District's efforts to <br />encourage an increase in school safety and a reduction of violence in schools. <br />Ordinance 2018-38 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Section 161.01 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted entitled "Employees Generally" for the purpose of amending the Family Leave <br />Policy of the City of North Olmsted to make it consistent with the Family and Medical <br />Leave Act, as amended. <br />Ordinance 2018-39 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to contract with MTech Company to purchase at State <br />Purchase Price, a Cues Steerable Pipe Ranger at a cost of $92,390.90, compatible with <br />Cues Camera Truck, for use in Sewer Inspections and at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br />Resolution 2018-40 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of a contract to provide asphalt resurfacing and related repairs upon MacKenzie Road, as <br />detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, <br />following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and <br />best bidder. <br />Ordinance 2018-41 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance accepting a traffic control equipment easement located on property owned by <br />Zapata Real Estate, LLC., an Ohio Corporation, designated as permanent parcel number <br />231-26-003 by Cuyahoga County Maps and Records, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2018-42 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to make application on <br />behalf of the City of North Olmsted for a NatureWorks Grant for improvements to North <br />Olmsted Community Park through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR); <br />further authorizing a local match of 25%; further authorizing the Mayor to accept the <br />grant, if awarded, and to execute any contract with ODNR, and declaring an emergency. <br />E <br />
