Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Day after Thanksgiving <br />One-half Day Christmas Eve <br />Christmas Day <br />One-half Day New Years Eve <br />Employee's Birthday <br />22.02 An employee in the Wastewater Treatment Plant or the Service Department who may be <br />scheduled to work a frill day on Good Friday or Christmas Eve shall have the choice to receive <br />overtime or compensatory time off. Rotating shift workers at the Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />who may be scheduled to work a frill day on Easter shall have the choice to receive overtime or <br />compensatory time off. <br />22.03 In addition to the above holidays, a regular full-time employee shall be entitled to <br />observe one (1) personal days as a holiday with pay (July 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018. <br />Subsequently, a regular full-time employee shall be entitled to observe two (2) personal days as a <br />holiday with pay in the years January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019 and January 1, 2020 <br />through December 31, 2020) covered by the terms of this Agreement. The personal days shall be <br />scheduled by mutual agreement between the employee and his supervisor. Personal Days may be <br />scheduled in one half (1/2) day increments. <br />22.04 If an employee does not use sick leave time for any calendar half (i.e., January — June or <br />July — December) he shall receive 10 hours off for each calendar half. <br />This provision shall be construed so that employees may receive no more than a <br />maximum of twenty (20) hours each calendar year. Such bonus days may be taken at a time <br />mutually agreeable to the Employer and the employee. Such bonus days must be taken within <br />one year of accrual. Up to one absence per year for attending a funeral as provided in Article 41 <br />may be used without affecting eligibility for bonus days. <br />22.05 To be entitled to holiday pay, employees must work the last regular work day before and <br />the first regular work day after the holiday, unless excused by the Employer. If any of the above <br />holidays fall on a Saturday or a Sunday, either the previous Friday or the following Monday shall <br />be observed as the holiday, except that where employees at the Wastewater Plant (which <br />maintains a 7 day operation) normally work a rotating shift, the holiday shall be observed on its <br />actual day, <br />22.06 An employee shall take his birthday within the pay period in which it falls except, an <br />alternate date may be established by mutual agreement between the employee and his supervisor. <br />ARTICLE 23 CALL-IN PAY AND HOLD OVER PAY <br />23.01 I:f an employee receives prior notification of call-in during his previous shift and the <br />18 <br />
