Council Minutes of 5-1-2018 <br />Resolution 2018-40 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of a contract to provide asphalt resurfacing and related repairs upon MacKenzie Road, as <br />detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, <br />following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and <br />best bidder. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2018-40 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2018-41 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance accepting a traffic control equipment easement located on property owned by <br />Zapata Real Estate, LLC., an Ohio Corporation, designated as permanent parcel number <br />231-26-003 by Cuyahoga County Maps and Records, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Brossard moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Limpert and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2018-41 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2018-42 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to make application on <br />behalf of the City of North Olmsted for a NatureWorks Grant for improvements to North <br />Olmsted Community Park through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR); <br />further authorizing a local match of 25%; further authorizing the Mayor to accept the <br />grant, if awarded, and to execute any contract with ODNR, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2018-42 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2018-44 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution dispensing with the Request for Qualifications (R.F.Q.) process required to <br />obtain the services of a Back -Up Plans Examiner and authorizing the Mayor to enter into <br />a three (3) year contract with Clark and Post Architects as Back -Up Plans Examiner, as <br />amended. <br />Ordinance 2018-45 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Emergency Ordinance enacted by the City of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga County, Ohio <br />hereinafter referred to as the Municipality, in the matter of the hereinafter described <br />improvement and requests the cooperation of the County of Cuyahoga, Ohio, hereinafter <br />referred to as the County. <br />Resolution 2018-47 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for rock salt <br />for roadway ice and snow removal for use by the City of North Olmsted, as detailed in <br />specifications on file and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the <br />lowest and best bidder, after Board of Control approval. <br />Resolution 2018-48 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase a new 2018 Ford F-350 truck from Valley <br />Truck Centers, together with a Snow Plow Package from Best Truck Equipment, at a <br />total cost of $40,498.00, through the State Purchase Program; and further authorizing the <br />Mayor to execute all documents necessary to effectuate such purchase, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Schumann moved to suspend the rule requiring three readings <br />
