Council Minutes of 5-15-2018 <br />Mayor Kennedy said he can assure the Councilwoman the City will continuing working <br />on it. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2018-44 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution dispensing with the Request for Qualifications (R.F.Q.) process required to <br />obtain the services of a Back -Up Plans Examiner and authorizing the Mayor to enter into <br />a three (3) year contract with Clark and Post Architects as Back -Up Plans Examiner, as <br />amended. Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Limpert and passed 5-1. Resolution 2018-44 adopted 5-1. Councilman <br />Glassburn voted no. <br />Ordinance 2018-45 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Emergency Ordinance enacted by the City of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga County, Ohio <br />hereinafter referred to as the Municipality, in the matter of the hereinafter described <br />improvement and requests the cooperation of the County of Cuyahoga, Ohio, hereinafter <br />referred to as the County. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2018-45 adopted <br />6-0. <br />Resolution 2018-47 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for rock salt <br />for roadway ice and snow removal for use by the City of North Olmsted, as detailed in <br />specifications on file and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the <br />lowest and best bidder, after Board of Control approval. <br />Resolution 2018-49 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution adopting the Alternative Tax Budget of the City of North Olmsted for the <br />fiscal year beginning January 1, 2019, and submitting the same to the Cuyahoga County <br />Fiscal Officer and its Budget Commission, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2018-50 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution approving of and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a collective bargaining <br />agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees <br />("AFSCME"), Ohio Council 8, Local 2681 for the City's Service Unit employees, for the <br />period July 1, 2018 through December 31, 2020 and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2018-51 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending and restating Section 957.01 of Chapter 957 (Alcoholic Beverages <br />on Public Grounds) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted in order to <br />permit beer and wine to be sold and consumed at the North Olmsted Party in the Park on <br />July 28, 2018 as a one time event, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2018-52 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending Chapter 1305 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted titled "One, Two and Three Family Dwelling Code." <br />5 <br />
