Council Minutes of 6-19-2018 <br />Councilman Schumann moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal <br />committee review as it is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Kearney and passed unanimously. Councilman Schumann moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2018- <br />67 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2018-68 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with AT&T Mobility National <br />Accounts LLC to enroll in the AT&T FirstNet Emergency Management Network, and <br />declaring an emergency. Resolution 2018-68 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2018-69 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Schumann <br />on behalf of himself and Councilwoman Williamson. An Ordinance amending Chapter <br />1319 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Licensing of <br />Rental Units" for the purpose of establishing regulations for transient renters and further <br />establishing additional application requirements, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Schumann moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal <br />committee review as it is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman <br />Williamson and passed 6-1. Councilman Glassburn voted no. Councilman Schumann <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed <br />6-1. Ordinance 2018-69 adopted 6-1. <br />Councilman Glassburn voted no with comment. I am generally supportive of this <br />legislation, but I think we are making a significant policy change without allowing <br />enough time for feedback. <br />Resolution 2018-70 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Pelton Environmental <br />Products for the purchase of 96 "UV Lamps" for use in the disinfection process at the <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilwoman Hemann scheduled an Environmental Control Committee meeting for <br />Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2018-70. The Director of <br />Safety/Service is asked to attend. <br />Councilman Schumann scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, June 26, <br />2018 at 7:10 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2018-66. The Director of Finance is asked to <br />attend. <br />Council President Jones scheduled a Special Council Meeting for Tuesday, June 26, 2018 <br />at 7:30 p.m. to introduce legislation needed to put the issue regarding the Recreation <br />14 <br />
