MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AUGUST 21, 2018 Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, Kearney, Limpert & Schumann Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director of Planning & Development Lieber and Clerk of Council Massarolo Absent: Council Member Williamson Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council meeting minutes of August 7, 2018 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening: Second Reading — Ordinance 2018-75; First Reading — Resolution 2018-79, Resolution 2018-80 & Resolution 2018-81. REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • Homecoming Weekend is August 23 through 26 at North Olmsted Park. The schedule of events is on the website. Saturday has a couple of big events. It starts at 9:30 a.m. with the First Annual Fat Heads Brewery Run, which is expecting 700 to 800 runners. Following the race is the new school dedication at 11:00 a.m. Director of Law Gareau: • No report. Director of Finance Copfer: • No report. Councilman Limpert Vice Chairman of the Building, Zoning & Development Committee: The Building, Zoning & Development Committee met on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Present were committee members Limpert and Schumann; Council members Brossard, Glassburn and Hemann; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director of Planning & Development Lieber and guests.
