Council Minutes of 9-4-2018
Director Glauner said he does not believe the schools have a crossing guard there as it is
not an elementary school. He said there should have been an officer at that intersection
and he will check with Captain Cox.
Councilman Schumann said there is going to be an access via Midvale eventually.
Mr. Tallon said he knew down the line there are additional plans that aren't there yet, but
the immediate concerns are what he is focused on. He also said the rule about no turn on
left is not a new rule, it's been there since the old high school was there.
Councilman Schumann said the City extended the hours on it about two years ago. He
also said he talked a couple of days ago to the Director of Safety that we might be able to
get rid of that sign as we may not have that issue anymore once the other entrances to the
school are open.
Director Glauner said the new signs he was talking about are the ones at the entrance to
the west and east drive off of Butternut. The one on Revere has been there and
Councilman Schumann has talked about changing that one after we see if the school
eases up a little bit after the two new driveways no one has even seen until the last couple
of days.
LEGISLATION
Resolution 2018-76 introduced by Mayor Kennedy and Councilwoman Hemann was
given its third reading. The motion was seconded by Councilman
Limpert and passed unanimously. Resolution 2018-76 adopted 7-0.
Ordinance 2018-78 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An
Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other
expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2018, and
declaring an emergency.
Resolution 2018-82 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy.
