MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 7, 2018 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Limpert, Schumann & Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human <br />Resources Gallo, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director of <br />Planning & Development Lieber and Clerk of Council Massarolo <br />Absent: Director of Law Gareau <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading: Ordinance 2018-94; First Reading: Resolution 2018-104 <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The Veterans Day celebration is Friday, November 9t" at 9:50 a.m. The city, high <br />school and VFW Post 7647 are uniting to celebrate Veterans Day. Veterans and <br />residents are invited to the new Performing Arts Center for the celebration, <br />including the color guard, high school band, along with city and school officials. <br />• The Princess Ball is at Springvale on Sunday, November 18 from 5p.rn. to 7p.m. <br />Children are invited to dress up, dance and take pictures with their storybook <br />heroes. Tickets are $7.00 and includes pizza, cookies and punch. Infants are free, <br />but all other guests must purchase tickets through the City website. <br />• Also, the North Olmsted Noel is on Sunday, December 2nd at North Olmsted Park. <br />The Arts Commission invites nonprofits and community groups to participate in <br />the celebration by providing crafts and activities. These groups should contact the <br />Planning Department by November 16 to participate. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• No Report. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />• The Administration has been working on the budget and are in the final stages. It <br />will be ready for the next council meeting. <br />Councilman Brossard Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at <br />7:01 p.m. Present were committee members Brossard and Williamson; Council members <br />
