Council Minutes of 11-20-2018 <br />Councilman Brossard Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 <br />at 7:18 p.m. Present were committee members Brossard, Williamson and Limpert; <br />Council members Glassburn, Hemann, Kearney and Schumann; Council President Jones; <br />Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, <br />Director of Planning & Development Lieber and guests. <br />• Discussed first was Ordinance 2018-101. An Ordinance amending the Traffic <br />Control File of the City of North Olmsted to remove school hour parking <br />restrictions on Revere Drive, Pompton Drive, Glouchester Drive, Nantucket Drive <br />and Dorothy Drive, and declaring an emergency, as amended. After a presentation <br />by Director Glauner and Councilman Schumann, the committee voted 3-0 to <br />recommend to Council with amendments. <br />Councilman Brossard moved to amend Ordinance 2018-101 to add the whereas clauses <br />provided by Councilman Schumann during the committee meeting. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2018-101 <br />amended 7-0. <br />• Discussed next was Ordinance 2018-102. An Ordinance amending the Traffic <br />Control File of the City of North Olmsted to remove left turn restrictions onto <br />Butternut Ridge Road at Revere Drive in the City of North Olmsted, and <br />declaring an emergency, as amended. Director Glauner and Councilman <br />Schumann indicated these are no longer needed because of the new parking and <br />traffic flow structure of the new middle school and high school facility. The <br />committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council. <br />Councilman Brossard moved to amend Ordinance 2018-102 to include the whereas <br />clause discussed in committee and amendments discussed in caucus tonight. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2018-102 <br />amended 7-0. <br />Councilwoman Williamson Chairwoman of the Building, Zoning and Development <br />Committee: <br />The Building, Zoning and Development Committee met on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 <br />at 7:01 p.m. Present were committee members Williamson, Limpert and Schumann; <br />Council member Hemann; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Planning & Development Lieber, <br />Joseph Rakoczy from RSA Architects and guests. <br />• Discussed was CMS 18-12560 Bruntwood Tavern, located at 5600 Great <br />Northern Boulevard. The proposal consists of constructing a new restaurant on the <br />vacant pad location at the Aloft Hotel site. The land is being developed in <br />accordance with a court agreement between the property owner and city that <br />allowed for a hotel and restaurant on the site. The building will be approximately <br />5,000 square feet and will include an exterior patio for seasonal dining. <br />Landscaping is provided around the foundation of the building.
