MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED JANUARY 2, 2019 Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, Kearney, Limpert, Schumann & Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Safety & Service Glauner and Clerk of Council Massarolo Absent: Director of Law Gareau and Director of Planning & Development Lieber Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council meeting minutes of December 18, 2018 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening: First Reading: Ordinance 2019-1, Ordinance 2019-9 and Resolution 2019- 10. Councilman Kearney moved to nominate Councilman Limpert as President Pro -Tem for 2019. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Yes: Kearney, Schumann, Limpert, Williamson, Glassburn, Hemann, Brossard No: None Motion carried. Councilman Limpert named President Pro -Tem for 2019 by a vote of 7- 0. REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • The Mayor swore in David Huspaska to Lieutenant of the North Olmsted Police Department. Lieutenant Huspaksa thanked everyone for coming out, including his wife. He said the department is going in the right direction and he is glad to be a part of it. A copy of the oath is attached to the end of the Minutes. Director of Law Gareau: • No Report. Director of Finance Copfer: • The County sent the final Schedule A in December. The amount for the property taxes were not exactly what was estimated for the budget based on what the
