Ch. 1317 <br />Electrical fees - see BLDG 1321.04 <br />Air conditioning and handling equipment compliance - see <br />BLDG. 1355. 02 <br />1309.01 CUR.R,ENT EDITION ADOPTED. <br />There is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference as if set out at length herein <br />that certain code known as the National Electrical Code, 1981 edition, as published by <br />the National Fire Protection Association, for the purpose of safeguarding persons and <br />property from hazards arising from the use of electricity, subject to the modifications <br />provided in Sections 1309. 03 et seq. <br />1309.02 FILE AND DISTRIBUTION COPIES. <br />Copies of the National Electrical Code adopted herein are on file with the Clerk of <br />Council and in the County law library for inspection by the public. In addition the <br />Clerk of Council has copies available for distribution to the public at cost. <br />1309.03 COVERING WIRING PRIOR TO INSPECTION PROHIBITED. <br />When the wiring or electrical equipment in any building is being altered or installed, <br />no person shall cover such wiring or equipment, or cause the same to be covered, <br />until the Electrical Inspector has inspected and approved the wfring and equipment. All <br />basements shall be wired in approved metal raceway unless the ceiling is covered. <br />On any installation, new work or remodeling, where there is a fan or blower <br />in an inside toiletroom or inside bathroom or inside laundry room, the ciuct work from the <br />fan shall be piped to the outside before an electrical inspection will be made of the premises. <br />This also applies to the duct work in the kitchen for the stove hood fan. <br />(Ord. 75-110.
