16K <br />CHAPTER 1317 <br />Registration and Licensing of Contractors <br />? <br />1317.01 General provisions. <br />1317.02 Home owners' exception. <br />1317.03 Public utility organizations' <br /> exception. <br />1317.04 Applications and examinations. <br />1317.05 Board of Examiners. <br />1317.06 General qualifications. <br />1317.07 Revocation and suspension of <br /> registration, licenses and <br /> certificates. <br />1317.08 Fees. <br />1317.09 Expiration and renewal of <br /> licenses and certificates. <br />1317.10 Firms or corporations <br /> installing work. <br />1317.99 Penalty. <br />CROSS REFERENCES <br />Registration and license fees - see BLDG. 1321.01 et seq. <br />Income tax application - see TAX. 1501.0501 <br />1317.01 GENERAL PROVISIONS. <br />When deemed necessary by the Board of Building Code Appeals, there shall be <br />required by and under regulations adopted by the Board of Building Code Appeals: <br />(a) The registration and/or licensing of the following contractors: building, <br />masonry, demolition, refrigeration, heating, piping, air conditioning, <br />electrical, plumbing, sewer, swimming pool and fence; <br />(b) The registration and/or licensing of fxulding movers, master plumbers, <br />electrical fixture installers and siQn erectors; <br />(c) Certificates of qualification for welders and welding inspectors in <br />field consixuction of slxuctural steel or ather metals, concrete inspectors and <br />steel inspectors on field construction; <br />(d) Z'he registration, licensing or certification of qualifications, ot any other person <br />or persons performing work or providing services under this Building Code. <br />1317.02 HOME OWNERS' EXCEPTION. <br />No provision of this BuildingCode or any regulation adopted by authority of this Building <br />Code shall be interpreted to require that the owner of a single or one-family dwelling shall <br />be licensed or registered or hold a certificate of qualification personally to perform work <br />upon the premises occupied, or to be occupied, by the owner thereof as such owner's <br />established residence. All such work shall be done by such owner with the assista.nce <br />only of any member of his family or household and such work shall be done in conformit3- <br />with the provisions of this Building Code and rules or regulations promulgated thereunder <br />and no work shall be done unless all permits, inspections and approvals required by <br />this Building Code are secured. <br />1982 Repla.cement
