CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE 82- 159 <br />PAGE 3. <br />(_c) Connection to the police emexgency alarm panel shall be <br />contingent uppn the applicant having obtained permission <br />from the company which maintains the alarm panel in the <br />police station to make such connection. Permission shall <br />not be denied pxovided equipment is compatible, and provided <br />charges are paid to said company, and provided a permit has <br />been issued hy the Safety Director or his authorized repre- <br />sentative. <br />(d? Banks or Savings & Loans only will be issued permits to <br />connect to the emergency alarm panel in the North Olmsted <br />PQlice Depaxtment. Subscxibers or users presently connected <br />to the emergency alarm panel may continue this service <br />when a permit is issued. <br />(e) A charge of ten dollars ($10.00) shall be assessed each <br />manth to the suhscriber or user connected to the police <br />emergency alarm panel. Any charge which remains unpaid <br />thirty (30) days after date of invoice shall result in <br />cancellation of the service. <br />559.06 LOCAL ALARMS <br />(a) A Local Alarm is an alarm that is not connected to the <br />Police Emergency Panel, and which, when activated, sounds <br />a horn, bell, buzzer ox other type of audible alarm. <br />(b) A permit shall he reauired for the installation of a local <br />alarm if th_e sound created by the alarm is audible beyond <br />the premises served. <br />(c) The Safety Director or his authorized representatives shall <br />issue a pexmit fox such an alarm upon proper application, <br />provided the intensity of sound does not exceed sixty-five <br />(65) decibels at any lpcation outside the premises being <br />serued. <br />559.07 FALSE ALARMS <br />(a) A charge o£ twenty-five dollars ($25.00) shall be assessed <br />far each false alarm received through Local Alarms, the Police <br />Emergency Panel ox fox each false alarm received on any other <br />alaxm service which the City has given permission to be <br />installed. Said fee shall be assessed against the holder <br />- of the permit for th.e alarm which was falsely activated. <br />(b) Notwithstanding the fee to be assessed as set forth above, <br />no charge shall be made for the first false alarm subseauent <br />to the issuance of the permit; nor shall there be any charge <br />for a false alarm to which there is no response by the <br />police, nor when the cause has been proven to be an act of God. <br />(c) Any charge for a false alarm which remains unpaid thirty (30) <br />days after date of invoice shall result in cancellation of <br />the permit.
