Logan <br />ORDINANCE N0. $2 - 126 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EPJTER INTO AN AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE GREAT NORTHERN PARTNERSHIP TO INSTALL A TRAFFIC SIGNAL <br />ON COUNTRY CLUB BOULEVARD AT THE SECOND SHOPPING CENTER DRIVE <br />WEST OF GREAT NORTHERN BOULEVARD, AND DECLARING AN EPIERGEPJCY <br />WHEREAS, Great Northern Partn:srShip has agreed to install a traffic <br />signal on Country Club Boulevard at the second drive west of Great Northern <br />Boulevard, and <br />WHEREAS, Great Northern Partnership will have a qualified Registered <br />Professional Engineer prepare the plans and specifications for the installation <br />of the traffic signal, and <br />WHEREAS, the traffic signal will assign right of way to motorists at a <br />primary entrance and egress drive to the Great Northern Shopping Center, all in <br />accordance with the Ohio Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PJORTN <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter <br />into an agreement with Great Northern Partnership allowing them to install a <br />traffic signal in the right of way of Country Club Boulevard at the second <br />drive west of Great Northern Boulevard and to pay the cost of engineering and <br />installation, a copy of which agreement is attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare, and for the further reason that the traffic signal will provide <br />more positive control for motorists and pedestrians, and further, provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval <br />by the Mayor. <br />PAS S ED : F/'/....r_-?.?•../?t.? ? . ? _ /9?e2. <br />ATTEST: <br />J?.1 <br />FLORENCE E.
