. <br />. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 82- 81 <br />PAGE 2. <br />The Department of Public Safety shall consist of the following <br />divisions: <br />(a) Division of Fire. The Division of Fire shall be in the <br />active charge o a chie who shall be responsible for its organization <br />and supervision. <br />(b) Division of Police. The Division of Police shall be in <br />the active c arge o a c ie who shall be responsible for its <br />organization and supervision. <br />(c) Division of Buildings. The Division of Buildings shall be <br />in the active charge o the Building Commissioner who shall be <br />responsible for its organization and supervision. <br />(d) Division of Parks and Recreation. The Division of Parks and <br />Recreation shall e in t e active c arge o the Parks and Recreation <br />Director who shall be responsible for its organization and supervision. <br />(e) Such other divisions as may be established by ordinance of <br />Council. <br />SECTION 2: That if such amendment is approved by the majority <br />of electors voting thereon at such election, it shall become effective <br />from and after the time of its approval by the electors. <br />SECTION 3: That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and <br />directed to cause a copy of the proposed Charter amendment to be <br />published in such a manner as may be authorized by law. <br />SECTION 4: That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorize an irected to forward a certified copy of this Ordinance <br />to the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County. <br />SECTION 5: That the Board of Elections is hereby requested to <br />cause appropriate notice to such election to be duly given in accordance <br />with law. <br />SECTION 6: That this Ordinance is hereby determined to be an <br />emergency necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, <br />property, health, and safety of the City, and for the further reason <br />that this 0rdinance must be immediately effective in order to permit <br />necessary arrangements to be made in sufficient time for said election; <br />wherefore, this ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote <br />of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />F ORENCE CAMPBELL, CLERKOOF C UNCIL AMES D.
