CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 82- 84 <br />PAGE 2. <br />any regular or special meeting thereof, or may be called by <br />the Clerk of Council upon the written reauest of the Mayor or <br />President of Council, or any three (3) members of Council. <br />A request £or a special meeting sha11 state the time, place <br />and date thereof and the subject or subjects to be considered, <br />and no other subject or subjects shall be considered. Notice <br />of a special meeting called at the reauest of the Mayor, <br />President of Council or any three members thereof, shall be given <br />in writing to each member of Council and the Mayor b.y serving <br />on each of them personally or by leaving a copy thereof of his <br />usual place of residence, not less than twenty-four (24) hours <br />preceding the date and hour of such meeting. Service of this <br />notice may be waived in writing. <br />SECTION 2. That if such amendment is approved by the <br />majority o electors voting thereon at such election, it shall <br />become effective from and after the time of its approval by the <br />electors. <br />SECTION 3. That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized <br />and directe to cause a copy of the proposed Charter amendment <br />to be published in such a manner as may be authorized by law. <br />SECTION 4. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and irected to forward a certified copy of this <br />Ordinance to the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County. <br />SECTION S. That the Board of Elections is hereby reauested <br />to cause appropriate notice to such election to be duly given in <br />accordance with law. <br />SECTION 6. That this Ordinance is hereby determined to be <br />an emergency necessary £or the immediate preservation of the public <br />peace, property, health, and safety of the City, and for the <br />further reason that this Ordinance must be immediately effective in <br />order to permit necessary arrangements to be made in sufficient time <br />for said election; wherefore, this ordinance shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its passage, and further provided it <br />receives the affirmatiue vote of two-thirds of all members elected <br />to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />LQRENCE C IPBELL, CLERK 0 UNCIL JAMES D.
