Re: Administration Building HVAC Modifications <br />Dave: <br />This letter serves as our proposal for Mechanical Engineering consultation and design <br />services for the existing two-story 19,000 SF +/- administration building. Scope of work <br />based on "Engineer Scope of Service" outline (see attached Exhibit 'A') as provided by the <br />city via email on 1/29/19 and includes three (3) areas of work as outlined below, to be <br />completed as one set of construction documents. Electrical Engineering design services will <br />be provided as necessary for HVAC system modification construction documents as <br />described below. Architectural services will be provided by John Patrick Picard Architect Inc. <br />including development of floor plans and reflected ceiling plans as well as construction <br />administration services as outlined in their proposal (see attached Exhibit's'). <br />1. Council Chambers HVAC system replacement (4,000 SF+/-) — Scope includes <br />construction documents as required for replacement of existing split system with new split <br />system and controls. Intent will be to use as much of the existing air distribution system <br />(ductwork) as possible with only minor modifications as required. Scope also includes the <br />addition of a separate system (likely a ductless or small ducted split system) to serve the <br />Caucus Froom that was previously added to the Council Chambers system as part of the <br />"Entrance Revampment" back in 2005/2006. <br />2. FIR Departiment HVAC system modifications (4,000 SF+/-) — Scope includes <br />construe;tinn documents as required for addition of new and/or modifications to existing <br />system(s) serving this area on the second floor to provide proper heating and cooling as well <br />as code required ventilation. <br />3. Building/Control system modifications (11,000 SF+/-) — Scope of work includes <br />primarily assistance with development of a new control system strategy for the entire building <br />and consultation and coordination with city preferred control system vendors in order to <br />develop a pl.nn for replacement of controls throughout the remainder of the building to be <br />compatible and coordinated with rather HVAC system modifications. <br />4. Project Administration .. Scope of work includes coordination with architect for services <br />outlined on UIc ;attached proposal (see attached Exhibit B') including development of CAD <br />backgruui i .iso for use in developing CD's and project administration services including <br />primarily permitting, bidding and construction administration. <br />
