(IIOL11161 tilinutesoi'3-19-2019 <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2019-48. An Ordinance amending and restating Section <br />957.01 of Chapter 957 (Alcoholic Beverages on Public Grounds) of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted in order to permit beer and wine to be <br />sold and consumed at the annual North Olmsted Party in the Park. This is the Arts <br />Commission second annual North Olmsted Party in the Park. One question was <br />raised about if there would be any overlapping events in the park. According to <br />Director Lieber, the answer is no as the event has the entire park booked. The <br />committee voted 1-1 to make no recommendation to Council. <br />Councilman Limpert Vice Chair of the Building. Zoning and Development Committee: <br />The Building, Zoning and Development Committee met on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at <br />7:15 p.m. Present were committee members Limpert and Schumann; Council members <br />Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann and Kearney; Council President Jones; Director of Finance <br />Copfer, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of <br />Planning & Development Lieber, the applicant and guests. <br />• Discussed was Ordinance 2019-47. After introduction, the Director of` Law <br />recommended it be held in committee. The committee voted 2-0 to hold in <br />committee. <br />Councilman Schumann Chairman ofthe Finance Committee: <br />'The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 7:35 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Schumann, Brossard and Kearney; Council members Glassburn, <br />liemann and Limpert; Council President Jones, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of <br />Human Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, <br />Director of Planning & Development Lieber and guests. <br />• Discussed first was Resolution 2019-45. A Resolution formally adopting the <br />previously -established Department of Finance Policy for the use of credit cards, <br />and declaring an emergency. This a policy regarding the use of City credit cards <br />by employees. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council with <br />suspension. <br />• Discussed next was Ordinance 2019-46. An Ordinance authorizing the Director of <br />Law to retain the services of Thompson Hine L.L.P., Attorneys at Law, to <br />represent the City of North Olmsted in litigation/arbitration concerning the <br />Springvale Improvement Phase I Construction Project, and declaring an <br />emergency. Thompson time is an expert in construction litigation and the City <br />needs to be able to defend itself. The Director of Law has promised Council <br />updates.
