Council Minutes of 5-7-2019 <br />Commander Sergi said on behalf of the Quilts of Valor Foundation in recognition of your <br />service and sacrifice for this nation, for protecting our freedoms and helping keep our <br />country safe it is a privilege to honor and comfort you through this Quilt of Valor award. <br />Though we may never know the depth of your sacrifice to protect and defend the United <br />States of America, we hope this quilt will bring you honor, comfort and healing. Please <br />use it in everyday life as it may be a remembrance of our gratitude. Again, thank you for <br />your valor in serving our nation in combat. God Bless. <br />Councilman Limpert thanked VFW Post 7647, Quilts of Valor and his family. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2019-53 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance to levy sidewalk assessment upon listed real property for the total costs <br />incurred by the City of North Olmsted to repair, replace or construct sidewalks adjacent <br />thereto, as such improvements were deemed necessary and installed pursuant to the 2018 <br />Sidewalk Program in the City of North Olmsted. Councilman Limpert moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Limpert, Kearney, Hemann, Schumann, Williamson, Glassburn, Brossard <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2019-53 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2019-56 introduced by Mayor Kennedy and Councilman Schumann was given <br />its third reading. An Ordinance accepting a deed from Kiwanis Club of North Olmsted <br />donating land to the City of North Olmsted, as amended. Councilman Schumann moved <br />for adoption. Ordinance 2019-56 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2018-90 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into agreements with the City of Cleveland, <br />Division of Water to establish a Municipal Utilities District, to restate the Water Services <br />Agreement, and to provide for the transfer of water utility assets from the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />Ordinance 2019-58 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Joint Use Agreement with Cuyahoga <br />County Community College District, as an instrumentality of the State of Ohio, and to <br />accept a specific appropriation of Capital Resources in the amount of $200,000.00 for the <br />improvement of, and modification to, the facilities comprising the City of North Olmsted <br />Disaster Recovery Fiber Ring, and declaring an emergency.
